Ill be in the garage the rest of the day!
probably due to the fact that he wont have to build up his internals for the supercharger as opposed to the turbo kits. Although it would be better to, i guess it can be arguable that he wont be needing to at low boost.
I've asked this question but never really got a straight forward answer. Since this kit is not carb legal, say in the state of california (where I live), what would happen if you get pulled over and the cop asks to pop your hood? Would you just have a big fine for having such a kit or do they make you remove it? Or worse, do they just impound your car?

in cali they can send you to a smog referee, he will look over the entire car in depth, you pretty much have to be close to stock, although if you have carb exempt papers u might pass, dont know. happened to my boy, had a 93 hatchback with the b18 type r engine swap and many goodies, cop pulled him over for busting a down shift with an apexi exhaust and test pipes wrapped in the stock cat shells, he looked under the car with a mirror, poped the hood and then said "common man, u know the b18 isnt legal in this car", he knew engine and chassis codes too, suprised the sh*t out of me. referred him to a smog ref. My boy ended up postponing the appointment for like 5 months, never went, then sold the car.

Im in Cali and dunno the answer to your question. BUT I know a lot of cops. So I guess I should ask them! For me its worth the risk!
G352NV, Mind if I ask how much for the whole kit? Also, what other products are REQUIRED to make this thing perform? I mean do I HAVE to headers or exhaust or intake or plenum or skyline emblems? Just curious, because I do plan on buying one in the near future. Even though I'm in Cali, it's worth the risk!
Just be sure that the downpipe coming from the MAF area to the outlet pipe from the intercooler is routed between the frame on its right and the A/C hose on its left (looking from the front of the car). This isn't really obvious in the photo in the instal manual. There's several other tips in recent posts on this board and my350z.com. I highly recommend the AutoSport patch harness to make the electrical connections to the ECU way easier and reversible.
Bwahaahaaa! You're just like I was when it came in. Couldn't wait to get into it - 2 buds and I started on a Sunday morning at 9am and finished it that night at 3am.
I just bought one of the Autosport harneses as well. Sounds like it will be way easier to wire in your electrical connections. Check it out here:

That way if you decide to upgrade your CPU later on it will be easier to swap out.

Everything is sooo fuggin tight! All I have left is fuel and the wiring. I did buy the Patch from him like you said in another post. Paul forgot my oil pan spacer so Im still waiting on that also. He said he was going to overnight it, I hope he does! Oh yeah what size gates belt are you using with the stock unit? I bought a 93 5/8 but its too small!

There are some tricky steps in the install where it's easy to screw up. If you can, have your work checked by a pro installer when you're done.
The JWT spacer will force the fuel line running behind the pan downwards making it the lowest point on the car--BAD. You can get around this by using an aluminum hard line in that location (sheathed in the rubber hosing).
