Volume Automatically Adjust for speed?

http://www.nctd.com/review-walk.cfm?...&ReviewID=1696

The above review under "Interior Features", fifth paragraph stated that the volume automatically adjust for speed...I never notice this...has anyone else? Maybe that's why some of you had audio setting issues because the volume started out low until you start going? Just wanted to throw this out because I never knew or notice this feature...

That may be their problem, Ive never noticed it but I do have my SSR option on the Audio button turned off..........Im not sure if that controls the speed sensitive volume or not, but I think it may be.

What does he need to read his owners manual about??? He was stating that this may be the problem that some people are noticing when they complain that they turn their bass and treble up and don't notice the changes when they restart their car.

There is no fix for it yet...most people who have brought it up to thier dealers have gotten a clueless response. And I've looked into the SOV already, its not linked to the settings being saved or not.

correct... ssv has nothing to do with the saved tone problems. my local dealership has actually admited to me that they know of the problem but still don't have a solution. they said that they could order me another hu but were unsure if it would correct the problem. i'm giong to wait it out until my first oil change (maybe another month) and then decide on something. i went to a local aftermarket car shop... and the guy pointed out that if i change all the speakers and add an amp but keep the hu i would still have that annoying setting problem. he also pointed out that it would seem more prevelant on the upgrade because the sound would be so much richer. he told me that my car is one of the worst he's heard for depth of sound quality.

Yep, SSV seems to be turned off when the car comes from the factory. You have to turn it on (either med, low, or high) for it to take effect. The manual will tell you how to do it.
