Anyone lease their G35? Questions inside...

Just wondering if you leased your car, how much down did you put down. Also if i request to have more miles on the car alloted (usually cap is at 15k) how much more will the monthly be? I was hoping to negotiate around 20k a year..is that possible? I am thinking that leasing is a good idea because at the end of the term, the car will still retain a high value..

I leased my '03. I put down $8k, and pay $469 a month, 12k miles per year, 2 year/24k lease. This was for a fully loaded 6MT coupe, that had a sticker of about $37,500. Not the best deal in the world, and I put too much down in hindsight, but everything is working out OK in the end. My lease is up in 3 months from today, and my residual is way below the market value for the car, so I plan to buy it at the end of the lease.

If you need 20k miles per year, I would not bother leasing. Leasing only makes sense if you drive 12-15k per year or less, and want a new car every 2-3 years.

I'm not aware of any 20k per year leases, but even if they made one for you, it would be so expensive that your monthly payments would probably be lower if you just bought the car and financed it.

The only reason I leased mine was because I was working from my home at the time and knew I would be under 12k miles per year, and I wasn't sure I would like the car enough to keep it beyond 2 years. Kind of a try before I buy kind of thing.

The upside is the option to buy your car at the end of the lease is a nice thing, and gives you more flexibility, especially if you go over your allowed mileage - instead of paying the penalty, you can just buy your car out.

Leased my 05 5AT coupe w/ premium, splash, trunk mats. MSRP $35,880 (VPP price: $33,129) - $1600 down (for taxes, fees, etc), $423/mo (39mos) 15K miles/yr.

The difference between 12k and 15k was like $6/mo. And I know they offer an 18k deal, so I'd imagine that would have been around $430 for me, but even 15k is a stretch (5 mile round trip commute... too short!) I got 3rd party leasing through leasecompare.com but Rosenthal asked for a crach at it, I had nothing to lose, and ****** if the Infiniti lease deal wasn't better! Also include ALL scheduled maintenance for free for the life of my lease. I'm extremely happy with my deal.
