BlackM6C.....

Why the 850iL The iL was the "down graded" 8 series that came out in 92-94. If your gonna go for an 8 (and beleive me I speak from many years experience driving one) you want a 1991 850i grey market (ie: imported from germany) or a 93-95 850CSi. The iL had a slightly more powerful 5.0L v12 and 4.8L v8 as options. Both were electronically limited to 155 mph and the traction control could not be disengaged. This holds true for an American 1991 850i as well, (except the v8 option) except a grey market 850 came with the 6.0L (non down sleeved) v12 (takes 7.6 quarts of oil if you can imagine, ever oil change) which was not limited to 155 (top speed est is 186 MPH) and had the option to shut traction control off. Your other option, the 850CSi was the "M" model for the 8 series, but stuck up lil bitch M owners complained that they had been "upstaged" by a car that cost 4-5x the price of their own. Proves M3/5 owners are truely whiney little bitches. Because of this, the M8 was badged (BUT NOT TITLED) the 850CSi. If your lucky to own one, your title and registration will still read BMW M8, but not the back of the car. If you want to read up on any of this, the best sight I have found so far is www.e31.de. However, very little is ever written about the 6.0L from 1991. It is truely meant as a "gift" from BMW to those who ordered their 8 series early.

My father has owned one since 1990 and I can honestly say, they are absolutley dream car material.

As far as my list of cars:

Current generation Lotus Espirit v8 turbo
Current generation Avanti V8 coupe (look these up, they are basically very nice fbodies now)
Porsche GT-2 (the 550 hp version)
1970 Chevelle with the LS6 option package
An older vette (preferably a stingray)
A mclaren (only because we all can dream)
1994-1997 MB SL500 or SL600 (the true PIMP sl)
2001 Chevy Silverado SS-T concept (if they only made the SS as good as the concept)
Godzilla.... obviously
The Atom (its basically a go kart with a s/c civic Si motor, so nasty its unreal)
And, the car that I dream over every night. The Koenigsegg.

Modena CS or F430 Spyder. I have to see the F430 Spyder in person before I make up my mind. The new rear end treatment is very wild - like the Kenstyle.
