I Hate Salesman
I ordered a 6MT. In mid-April my salesman calls me and says early May delivery.
Later the same day a manager at the dealership calls and confirms the details of my vehicle and says "I have a order number for you, Q######".
After that I decide to deal with the manager only and avoid the salesman like the plague.
Every two weeks I call the manager and get updates. I'm very impatient, but I can deal.
Today the salesman calls and says "Got some good news for you Mr. C.". My heart starts racing, either he's going to give me a VIN or tell me he has one just like the one I ordered and I can pick it up within a week. "Mr. C.., I have an order number for you."
Yup, thats right, the F-ing idiot called to tell me that I have an order number. Whoopie, F-ing, Do.
I need a drink.

Yep .. frickin boners .. I got a order number the day I was there...
use this to your advantage man... and from the other post called Freebies ... as you can see .. stuff gets thrown in .... probably the best freeby is a year of oil changes for free .. my man Kkh713 got ....
others like myself got one free oil change ... mug ... hat ... keychain .. 1000 CAD off, mud guards, aluminum pedals, car covers, jackets, trunk net..etc...

I never got an order number, a VIN, or anything like that - but I took delivery of my Coupe 3-4 weeks after placing an order.
Why? Because I asked the dealer to check other dealer's inventories and FIND one, rather than order it from the factory. I was basically getting everything except NAV, which is a common configuration, so colors was the main thing.
The dealer found one a few weeks later, and then the main delay was that they forgot to get my loan approved and straightened out before they found it - so there was an additional delay to bring it in.
BTW - I didn't call my dealer weekly, I called DAILY - sometimes 2 and 3 times a day to check status. My salesman told me when I took delivery that they bumped me ahead of at least 5 other people waiting for Coupes, purely because I was a serious pain in the butt.
Well, I may have been a pain, but the people that weren't were still waiting, and I was driving my new Coupe. Works for me!

They already know I'm willing to take another car if its within my acceptable range. Trust me, I'm enough of a pain that they want me to go away.
