Newbie Request: Athens Blue Coupe Pics, not very many here

Hello All!

I'm obviously new, but not new to this particular forum. Yeah...I'm one of those who "browse" and not register/post. But anyways, I'm looking for some nice pics of the Athens Blue and I did a few searches in the past and notice that there weren't that many. I'm interested in buying the Athens, but what I'm looking for are some owner's pics because they seem to always be the best since they are taken at different times of the day, different settings, and with aftermarket wheels. I have already seen the car in person once but because of my career (always traveling) I never have time to look at it again....any Athens Blue owners can help me out?

By the way, for all the Obsidian Black owners...I absolutely love your pics, almost want me to go back to black (my 2nd choice). I currently own a black '96 I30t (130k miles and still running strong ), so hard to maintain it.

Thanks!

Thanks drvbyhonkr for the pics, do you ever feel that it is hard to keep the blue clean? Can it be just as bad as black? I never own a blue car, it's something different...but it looks dark and solid enough to be dirty real easy. I like something easy to clean since I'm rarely ever home to maintain it. Looks like you keep it clean even during the winter

I never owned a black car either, but I would say its not quite as hard as black...but it does tend to get dirty pretty quickly...i do drive it quite a bit...and i dont have a garage to store it in...so im sure those factors dont help...but you cant tell how dirty she is as im flyin by

If ur looking for something that wont show dirt as easily...go with the lighter colors like DG or possibly IP...just my 2c

Well, I have owned black so I know how the experience is...but I do have a garage but the black collects dust like no other after being washed, especially when it's parked outside. I do like IP but a friend of mine has one and gosh...I just don't want to have the same color car, haha.

Gee, I wish there were more pics of the Athens...is it really that rare? Or perhaps this is a dumb post to begin with...

I dont know if i would consider it rare...i think its just that its new to the 05 line-up of colors and not that many people have pics of them yet...i got mine about 2 months ago and have yet to see any other ones on the road...kinda like that
I remember when i got mine i was looking on the site to see pics of them and i think i only found like half dozen or so...im sure there are more out there somewhere...just need people to post them up...only takes a couple minutes

You're right, it's not that rare, it's just new. I live in SFL where there are tons of Gs and have already seen 3 Lakeshore Slates and 3 Athens Blues on the road (yeah, I even keep track of the numbers ). Hopefully they'll keep the production numbers low just like they did with Caribbean and Twilight Blue so that our exclusivity lasts longer!

Btw check your PMs

zeusallmighty -

It doesn't look like Private Messaging is enabled for me yet...even though I have registered...kinda odd. Anyhow, that'll be great if you can send those pics to:

knightt@s92215473.onlinehome.us

Thanks!

I feel the same way about athens blue on the forum. You really dont see many of them. The car I have on order is an Athens Blue. Its due to arive next week Thursday or Friday. I will be sure to post pics when I get it.

Btw, those clear corners are a definite for this color. Looks really good.

I have one and I have a hard time finding others that do. I have a garage and I have a black subaru and my athens blue G coupe is not as hard to keep clean as the subaru but it's right up there in terms of difficulty. If you want something that will stay clean, get any shades of silver. As for pics, I believe Infiniti press photo (at least in Canada) are athens blue sport coupe without spoiler (not sure how they did it as here, the spoiler is not optional with the sport pkg)

I finally got a chance to go to the dealership for the 2nd time but this time I brought a digital camera Can't post the pics up yet...I will later though.

MattAu - I figure the blue would be a little easier than black, but wouldn't it stay cleaner a little longer since the blue is a brighter color than black? Is it really the same difficulty as a black car?

clokwork - Can't wait to see the pics when your car arrives.

lopalo - Glad to see the pic taken both in light and dark.
