breaking the coupe in?

hi,
was just wondering if there is anything i should know about breaking the car in, just got it yesterday and barely driven it yet but it is definitely awesome..

comments/suggestions welcome

just wondering, why so early? 500 miles? its a question, not saying you're wrong or right

Completely unnecessary.

As far as braking the car in, try to very your revs (ie don't use cruise control). Just drive your car sane and don't do any hard braking.

As far as oil changes, the manual says you don't need to do your first change any earlier. But the fact is that the first batch of oil is the dirtiest since it is the first exposed to the engine.

I just had my first change at 3000, will probably change around 4000-4500 now. Depending on your driving habits/conditions, you may want to get your first oil change before 3000.

Follow the manual, go easy on it for 1000-1200, and thats all. Nissan didn't just make up the break-in information in the manual.

P.S. 500 mile old oil is as good as new...please don't change it that early.

where do you see the break in info? i dont see it

Yeah, I've got my manual next to me turned to it right now. Its under the heading of "Break-in Schedule".

break in schedule is on page 5-21 for me

what do they mean by do not accelerate at full throttle in any gear?

it means when u accelerate, you cant just have the gas petal fully pressed down, u need to have the brake or the clutch pressed down also, so if u ever just wanna go out and floor it, you have to press the brake or the clutch also.
