Who has traded 5AT --> 6MT and vice versa?

Who has traded 5AT --> 6MT or vice versa?
Every couple weeks or so, people (usually newbs 
) post whether they should switch or not, or which tranny they should get. Generally, I think if people switch, it is from 5AT to 6MT. Please post if you have done this, your reasons, and your impressions of the switch. Thanks!
Personally, the only auto G's I've driven were the demo car and sedan loaners. The auto tranny is eager to downshift and put you in the powerband, but it was not as fun as 6MT. The tiptronic shifts are delayed between when you flick the lever and when it actually shifts (note, these cars didn't have grounding kits, which people claim reduce the lag by a lot
