I get about 16-17 mpg... 60% rush hour traffic.. going like 15-20 mph. Really sucks now that gas is averaging $2.50 here in so cal.

(23 mpg if 100% freeway driving.)

I average 20-22 MPG on 40 miles 1 way to work but in pretty heavy traffic. On pure highway, if I stay between 70-80 MPH, I got 26-27 MPG. I guess that's pretty true to spec.

I average between 16-20 mpg with 80% city driving / bumper to bumper traffic driving... if i'm really careful and easy on the throttle i can get up to 19-20 mpg even with city driving but normally i get like 17mpg... its hard not to jump on that throttle lol so addictive...

I get 22.4 miles per galloon and that is with 65% highway and the rest in town, I do 115 miles a day and in the 6 months I've owned the car I have put on 13,000 miles, still think that's not too shabby for mixed driving conditions.

Don't let the dealer tell you it's normal. Normal is at least 4-5 better than that. Some of these other guys on here must be running on 4 cylinders downhill with a tailwind. On the highway I can manage about 24-25 and combined runs about 16-17 and I baby mine.

Good luck.

i believe i'm averaging anywhere between 13-15 l/100. so i think that translates to something like 15-18 mpg. i've found it improving though (not by much ). 22mpg?? wow that's like 10.5 l/100... i'm not even getting that in my wife's mini cooper s.

may be you should give it a push, try some aggressive driving, give the engine a work out....do that for a couple tank, and then go back to your normal driving style and see if the mileage will improve... good luck...

at 11mpg..i will not be able to afford to drove a G consider I drove about almost a 100 mile/day....

My first fill up was 19.5 mpg, with a little bit of every type of driving. I'm due for another soon, which will be better (judging from the gas gauge) because I took a short trip.
