Dealer Clearbra or go local??

I have the option at Grubbs to get the bra done and for hundreds less, but there are two issues I come across. which film is better, and if something is wrong with the bra, I am SOL.

I live in VA and we have Llumar film here

at Grubbs in TX, they use Pentacle I believe.

My fear is that I will get the car and the bra have defects or have them down the line sometime and nobody to fix them since the shop is a thousand miles away.

I dont know if this fear is valid or not so I wanted the input of those especially with clearbra or experience with them on what to do. In TX the avg cost is around 500 bucks. up here is closer to 850.

Anyone know somewhere in or near VA that is below this mark?

thanks.

your concern is valid, i had to take mine back to the installer once to get some issues resolved with it.

But the price of 850 is RIDICULOUS... find another installer. I got my Llumar installed for 500+tax.

There is no way I would have paid 850. Do it someplace local is my suggestion but definitly shop around.

Are you having the car shipped to you or picking it up and then driving it back? If its being shipped dont let the dealer do it, if you're driving it back then your decision is tougher cause you could get paint chips on the drive home.

I'd ask Grubbs ahead of time what their policy is on dealing with clearbra defect repair - they may have an arrangement with a chain or use a local (to you) Infiniti dealer.

Here in Albuquerque, the dealer charges $489 for a bumper, mirror backs and lower hood clear bra (3M). As it turns out, they send it out to a shop and that same place will do it for me at $375.

its unfortunate that I am not driving it back up, but yet having it delivered. There is no place in VA that can find that will do it for anywhere near the prices I can get from TX unfortunately.

From the Llumar webpage:

CPFilms Inc.
Mid-Atlantic Regional Center
P.O. Box 5068
Martinsville, VA 24115

(800) 851-7781
FAX: (276) 627-3528

llumar-info@cpfilms.com

call them and ask for dealers/installers in VA

3m and Venture films are also just as good, look on their websites too for dealers/installers.

There has to be more than one. Call local infiniti dealerships and see if they have any deals with local installers. Thats how I got mine.
