hi,
does anyone have pics where i can see this radar connected in an '05 coupe?

thanks, i want to see how it looks before i buy it

Not the x50, but the older 8500 (body is the same anyways). Here's mine.
Excuse the mess in my garage.

i want to see how it is with the wire hanging out..

just take xswl0931's pic and imagine a big annoying coiled wire hanging straight down from the detector. i'd say the coils are approx 1" wide. seriously, if you are getting an x50, hardwire it!!!!

It's actually really easy to hardwire it yourself (assuming you have some skills in working with wires). I ran the wire in the headliner down the a-pillar (just snaps off) under the steering column to the lighter socket next to the driver. I used to have the wire hanging off, bit it became too distracting.
