Neffster, thanks for the offer. We thought about the idea and came to the conclusion creating an informal, free club would be best. I remember reading some of your posts about all the paperwork and hassle you went through. While I hope there are no liability issues, as far as our sponsors go, this is just a way to help support the local businesses. For example, Chuck from DigitalWheelz is local (his touchscreens and housing are very popular for our G's) and at our first meet he is going to be demo-ing his new software that should be out shortly. Hopefully this will not only benefit him but also we can all check it out while all hanging out and have a good time.

People don't usually mind paying for membership fees if they get MORE out of the club than the price of admission. Also, sponsors typically like to back clubs where liability is not an issue. You can't get liability insurance for a club that is not a business. You can't start a business without money. There's a vicious circle that I can explain in much more detail should you be interested (I've had to learn all of this the hard way) and would be more than happy to share what I've learned with you for free to save you the trouble of having to learn it the hard way yourselves.

Yes, I think the merchandise store is going to be pretty nice plus all the pictures and probably even videos from the meets will be up there as well.
Hopefully the Member List also continues to increase

We've now reached over 30 registered users. I hope they all can make it to the first meet. If everyone can spread the word and I'll bump this up so maybe more will see it.
