There will be BIG issues with security at the mall. They DO NOT let you hang in the parking lot to snap pics and just BS. If they see you there and you are not going in the mall you will be asked to leave. You should have the meet and greet somewhere else to avoid the hassle. There was a meet in VA that ended quickly due to the same cicumstances. The meet portion should be a public place(park) not a private property issue. Then if you choose to go to D&B afterwards then you could cruise on over no big deal. JMO

wnt1bd, yes that is the plan. Meeting in a park and then getting some food and cruising on over. I'm trying to plan things out with what park to meet at and then go from there.

As far as the time its kind of up in the air just yet but I'd think sometime around lunchtime to early afternoon.

I'm all open to suggestions as far as the park goes and us not having a problem with the park police. As soon as we can figure out a place I can plan out everything else after that and will spread the word here as well as the website.

The park is yet to be determined but I'm almost positive the meeting time will be 12 p.m. - We'll have a meet and greet, possibly get some food afterwards and then hit up for a drive around the area.

Any suggestions on the park? I'll look up some areas myself and get back to you guys. Thanks.

Back in my days of the Prelude, we went to Sandy Point. That might be out of the way for alot of people though. But it is off of Rt 50, so you get LOTS of attention. Crowds and all. Just a sugestion.

You mean where they have that virtually golf or bowling whatever? Yeah I've seen it but didn't bother thinking twice.

Any mall will have some type of security driving around so that's going to be tough. Sandy Point has a great view of the bay bridge but it's $5 a head to get in. This would be a good place to BBQ and have an annual event if you decide to have one. I'm sure if you contacted them directly and organized a cleanup/BBQ/meet, they would probably let everyone signed up in for free. As for a smaller meet, I suggest meeting at the Washingtonian Center/Rio area in Rockville/Gaithersburg. There are a few parking garages at this location and I haven't seen a security car drive around. I'm sure a bunch of people can meet up at the top of one of the parking garage and take some pics and eat at the resturants. It's more of a shopping center than a mall so security might be a bit more relaxed.

We are working with a local park just to get permission to meet there. Hopefully all goes well and I'll keep you guys posted. But either way the 23rd is still on and a location will be determined this week for sure.

Guys, the NationalGClub forum for MD/VA/DC is now open on G35Driver!
Please post all the local topics in that forum. We may not have a Mid-Atlantic forum but that one will work pretty well I think. Hopefully all your local questions will be answered.

How about Seneca Park? That's not too far from the D&B.

Yeah I actually thought of Seneca Park - I only live a few miles from there. Was thinking a more central location so we have a park in Rockville/Bethesda in mind at Cabin John. Hopefully that works out - they got big parking lots for us.

I must admit, I had my own best interests in mind. I only live a few miles from Seneca as well.
