Awesome game. Gotta love college hoops.

Unfortunate though. I'm an Arizona Wildcats fan and even i was rooting for the Illini'

UNC plays so damn sloppy too, i was hoping Illinois could pull it off. If they had played the first half with nearly half the intensity they played with in the second half, they would have killed the Tar Heels. Sean May was too much to handle inside.

Talking

Although they had a fine year they had one big flaw, There not in the ACC. If they were in the ACC they would not have been 37-1 comming in to this game. "big" ten play's the ACC every year and it shows you why the acc Always does well in the NCAA, they play top level teams week in and week out day after day so it is nothing new to them. Where as the big 10 can win a few but not substain it for that hard to get end of the season 6 game winning streak. ACC 3 out of the last 5 NCAA titles 4/5 NCAA title games. Nuff Said

Agreed that UNC did not look fundamentally sound in the 2nd half. However what's up with the football like picks being set by Ill? Come to think of it they weren't the only team playing linebacker style in the tourney. I wish the officiating was constant. If you call touch fouls, then call moving screens.

I agree 100%

lol @ football like picks

The game seemed to be officiated somewhat tight in the first half. Some of Augistine's fouls were so-so but either way May was too much for him.

While the second half, especially the final 8 minutes or so, the refs were kinda of leniant with letting the moving screens go. That i didn't understand at all. Its one thing to let the team's play and tone down on foul calling which is think is great for the intensity of the game but moving screens were out of control and are really unfair to the defense.

Great game all around though. I'm upset college basketball is over now

I'm originally from Indiana, lived in Illinois, now in Florida. They don't know anything about basketball down here!

Gspotter, you lucky DOG! Where were you located in IN. I'm in Fort Wayne, IN for now. I work automotive, so my geographic options are generally limited to where there an assembly plant exists or Detroit! Well, teach those Floridians about basketball, will ya!?

Good games this year....GOOD GAMES, GOOD TIMES!
