Question Third brake light again

Ok, I know similar posts have been on here before. I ordered the car with the full body kit vs the aero and body kit without spoiler. I didn't realize the mistake until the car was already on its way (it would have been about the same price too). Oh well, now I have to fix the problem. First, how difficult is it to remove that brake light? Second, are there any creative ways to cover the hole once removed? I was thinking about having a sub or multi-speaker installed back there. Anyone done this or recommendations for other fixes?

What i did was took it off right from the back seat, all you have to do is push it toward the rear window and then pull up, it has a L piece which holds it in place so once pushed far enough it can be pulled up. Once you remove it you will see on wire that has a plug on it just pull it out til you see the cplug and unplug it. once removed its not going to be one large hole, its more like 6 medium square cutouts where it connected to the car. thats easy to fix at any local auto upholstry store. I personally took mine out so i can have my tint installed without the worry of the shop cutting around it. I also got my spoiler installed after i got the car so i diconnected it once the spoiler was on, but now i cant even see it once i tinted the window with 20%, so im not going to worry about that for now. good luck.

I think it looks kinda tacky. I don't think a car of this calibur should have a hunk of plastic that doesn't work. It looks like an after-thought or something. I'm a detail fanatic. :-)

Thanks RST for the removal tips.

When I had my Speakers upgraded I had them remove the 3rd light and the Baby seat anchor bolts and recarpet the area!

It's much easier to clean the rear window without the 3rd light in the way!!

haha I feel the same way, im just to busy to look for the material to cover it up with. But you canis do take it off, you can use those leds for some other mods, like when the doors open put them in the red reflector sine the led is red already. thats one of my future plans.
