Air bag light flashing

I have been having my air bag light flashing for the past 2 weeks now. Didn't have time to take to the dealer just wanted to know if any way to turn it off myself. reset button or something?

No way to disable an air bag light without going to a dealer, for saftey reasons. Also for you modded guys there are almost no ways to void an air bag warranty unless the vehicle has been in an accident then it turns into a very big ordeal with nissan and investagators tearing apart the car, but thats another story.

Not true. Did you lately have stereo equipment installed or did you change your in cabin micro-filter? If so, you probably unplugged your airbag harness and either didn't reinstall it properly, or you started the vehicle with the harness unplugged.

If this is the case you can follow the instructions at this link and your problem will go away. click here. Just send me a PM and I'll tell you where you can paypal my fee.

I had the same issue hit my car 2 months ago...turns out the sensor in the steering wheel air bag was bad & the dealer changed it for free since it was covered under the warrenty.

Yes, the light goes away, but it still stores the fault in the computer.

How would I clear the fault in the computer? I have cleared the flashing Airbag light but it came back on 1 week later. I cleared it again but would like info on this. Thanks

Hi,
You need to get the car into diag. mode so that it flashes a pattern (ex. 2 long 3 short), this pattern will then point you to the area that is causing the fault. Then check all yellow connectors. My driver’s seat side air bag connector popped loose, I diagnosed the problem and fixed this way. Once you have the fault location, before digging in, disconnect both battery cables and pump the brake a few times to bleed the car of voltage. More than likely it’s a loose connector under the seat. Good luck, perform at own risk, airbags are can save you and kill you if handled wrong. If you hesitant, just bring it in to the dealership.

To get into Diagnostic mode, turn the key to ON (not start), once the airbag light goes out, quickly shut off…repeat this 4 times, on the 5th time leave ON, your in Diag mode......I'll try to get a screen grab from the manual on codes.

why would you want to turn it off? go to the dealer... could be a problem with your airbag, so unsafe!

I wanted to find out the problem (or if there was one) first before taking it to the dealer. The start of this problem was whenever I unhooked the wiring harness behind the clock and accidentally started the car before plugging it back in (most people here have done this and it caused thier airbag light to flash).

Here is some pictures of the only thing I unplugged (but I plugged it back in before assembling the dash.
