I do not think the dealer has it? What we used was a Honda touchup paint, it is sooooo close it's funny! It is my neighbors, so I will get you the code off it tomorrow.Originally Posted by kenchan
Where can you get the factory brembo touchup? Do the dealers have it?

Looks great! Must have been a fun weekend... I spent last weekend with 5 other G's detailing our cars for 6+ hours!
Wash, Clay, 2 polishes, topped with some Zaino courtesy of Diesel.
How much were those rotors, etc?
I would be interested to see a DIY for the slotted Brembos...

OK...
First off, YES to the write up for the brembo equipped models.
Secondly, for the 6mt... what brand of cross drilled and slotted rotors did you use? How much did they cost? Where did you get them? What pads did you use? Did you have to bleed the brake lines too?
TIA!

Anyone know why you cannot start a new thread in the DIY section?
This project is amazingly easy to do with minimal mechanical know how. Like any project, take your time, be sure the car is secure and be patient. The 6MT is amazingly easier than the Auto in relpacing the brake pads themselves. I purchased all the rotors and pads at irotors.com. I ended up using Axxis MM pads. I have them on my BMW and have had great luck with them, good performance and very low dust. Sorry about the pictures, I am not the best at playing with them, but you will get the gist of it.
Tools needed:
1. a couple of 1/2" ratchets
2. 1/2" breaker bar (This is not necessary, but aids in removal of the front caliper bolts)
3. A Couple of short 1/2" extensions
4. 19mm socket (rear caliper bolts), 21mm socket (Lug nuts), 22mm socket (front caliper bolts).
5. Needle nose pliars
6. Have some screwdrivers handy
--I had the best luck doing one side (one front and one rear) of the car at a time.
--BE SURE THAT THE CAR IS ON LEVEL GROUND AND THE PARKING BRAKE IS NOT ENGAGED.
--IMPORTANT.....All four rotors on the G should come off once the caliper is removed. If not, use the guidelines I have listed below.
1. Jack up the front and rear of the car and remove the wheels (21mm socket)
2. Remove pads BEFORE removing the caliper

2. Remove pads BEFORE removing the caliper
3. To remove the pads, use the picture above as a guideline. Amazingly enough, once the pads are out and you remove the caliper, you can actually push the pistons back in by hand.
4. Once the above is complete and the caliper are removed, you are ready to remove the rotors.
5. Be sure to do this before putting new rotor bak on. This pic is of the rear brake shoes used for the parking brake. This surprised me, I was not expecting that. You are safe to remove the rear rotor, nothing will pop out of place.
6. Rubber grommet on rear rotors. You may or may not transplant the wheel bolt and spacer from the front rotors, they do nothing but not allow a rear wheel to be put on the front. We did do it for my buddies with stock wheels.
7. once rotors are on, reverse steps to re-install. Mount calipers back on before installing the new pads. You will use no backing plates from old pads on the 6MT, but you will on the Auto.
IMPORTANT
Be sure you do not have any pieces left? The nice thing about this is that you do not remove many bolts, just be sure that everything gets back to it's proper place.
Now that I have done three of these, Infiniti is laughing for what they charge for a brake job! If I had a lift, I could do this job again in about an hour, give or take a few
!

Forgot to mention that there is no need to bleed the brakes unless you do lines at the same time (obviously)!
