How fast is G35 Coupe than the sedan, altima and Maxima

how fast can G35 coupe beat them
0-60
60-120 mph

and what about the breaking can the G35 coupe stop faster.

How fast can 03-04 G35 brembo breaks stop than the stock 05 G35 coupe

thanks

really depends on apples to apples - I have been told the early Sedans didn't even open the throttle all the way.

If you take say an 05 sedan AT and a 05 Coupe AT I would doubt much difference at all. Both about the same weight, same engine, same tranny.

The Brembos won't stop any faster than the stock 05 brakes, they really only get you two things... bragging rights, and better at the track if you track alot (they are supposed to be better as far as fade after a lot of braking - though I have never seen proof of that, but it stands to reason)

I agree. I've raced my cousins 04 auto coupe, it was about even, I think now that my engine has some more miles and has loosened up, the 6 speed might help it pull a little bit. We raced from 0-120, and after 100 I was pulling away. The 05 also weighs a lot more than an 04. So variables will come into play, but most these cars see low 14's in the 1/4

hope that solves your problem

The altima and maxima are pretty quick, all 4 cars will generally run about the same times. I think the newer maxima's though are slower than the new altimas because of the weight difference. Personally I think the altima is the best bang for the buck. For about $25k you can run mid 14's stock, have lots of room, decent interior and a nice looking exterior....

three letters that leave the Max and Altima out of my "to buy" list.......FWD (and the "F" does not stand for Four! They are pretty quick however.

The only difference between the cars really is the body itself because they have the same powertrain. The coupes have a lower center of gravity and bigger tires so they handle better at the limits. Sedans can be modded to equal the coupe in handling.

You're kidding right? Besides the very poor grammar and spelling, you can look this f*cking info up on any car magazine website. To save you time though, the G35 is slower than all of those cars. It is also the ugliest of the bunch and breaks down all the time. Avoid them.

I have owned a few FWD cars and the only difference I notice from owning a RWD car is the rear end breaking loose if I take a corner hard and hit the gas (which i might add is very fun). Other than that the torque steer that all RWD owners complain about in a FWD is hardly noticeable and it "gave a feeling" that you were going faster.

GTT 04-18-2005 02:48 PM

SO 0-60 for G35 Sedan FWD could be faster than the coupe

Byrnie 04-18-2005 03:08 PM

The '05 coupe automatic runs at most 6.2 0-60 and the sedan is about the same. Now if you have the sport package on the coupe for '05 I would expect it to go a tad faster considering the suspension but I'm probably wrong on that.

ChazM 04-18-2005 03:55 PM

screw 0-60...there is a guy with a 04 G35 sedan that runs constant 14.2, stock and here in orlando....I don't remember his SN, im sure neffster does though.

Finiti35 04-18-2005 04:20 PM

3.5 Altis are marginally faster than Maximas, in 02/03 because Maximas had overrated hp and in 04/05 because of the weight difference. I remember a number like 5.9s 0-60 for the 5MT Alti and 6.0s for the 02/03 6MT Max. But whatever the case, the fastest bone stock auto Maximas I know of run ~14.4 (that's for both 5.5 gen and 6th gen). The average is more like 14.7-14.8.

Oh and torque steer is definitely there, just floor a FWD out of a corner and you'll end up 2 lanes across. I can feel it even in my Maxima and it's not all that torquey.

ChazM 04-18-2005 05:09 PM

I was always able to keep the car under control under torque steer...must be your girly arms :D

Finiti35 04-18-2005 05:19 PM

Hehe no, for real you can feel it, I hear on the Alti SE-R it's really bad. Torque steer never bothered me though, it's the stock suspension and handling on Acuras, Maxes and the like that drives me nuts.
