That and nobody wants a peice of sharp metal flying around in the cabin in the event of an accident.

Agreed, death by license plate is definitely something that nobody wants to see on an accident report.

Oh, that's right.

The dealer said that they usually drill the holes for front plates, but sometimes customers get upset.

Hence, they now usually wait for the buyer to make their decision.

Funny, when I was in the UC system they taught English. Requirements must vary from school to school.

Texas is all talk when it comes to the front license plate. I have been pulled over for speeding several times. The police officer has mentioned the front plate missing at least 3 times. NEVER received a ticket for it.

It just pisses them off, because that is what they like to aim at with the radar gun. It's a nice flat surface.

For anyone that lives in Texas, don't bother putting it on.

All cars I've owned since 1992 have never had front plates.

13 years and not one ticket.

If you're worried about the ticket, just bend the plate up, Roll it a couple times over a bat, and the surface will be concave. Supposedly you can't aim a radar gun at it.
