Texas is all talk when it comes to the front license plate. I have been pulled over for speeding several times. The police officer has mentioned the front plate missing at least 3 times. NEVER received a ticket for it.
It just pisses them off, because that is what they like to aim at with the radar gun. It's a nice flat surface.
For anyone that lives in Texas, don't bother putting it on.
All cars I've owned since 1992 have never had front plates.
13 years and not one ticket.
