Unhappy z-tube v.s CAI

I'm going to apologize first off if this question has been asked before but.. i did do some searches and am still confused.

I am picking up a friends 03 g-coupe on monday and am already thinking of mods.

The newbie question is...

Does the Z-Tube mod get replaced if you go with a CAI ? or, are they two separate mods ?

Thx

depends

Many CAI's are a complete tube and filter.

Then there are solutions like the Stillen High Flow Intake which doesn't replace/include the tube. On this you'd still go with the Z-tube.
That is my combo, and I chose it because the Stillen does the best job of isolating the intake from hot engine air.

Some of The CAI's actually place the filter way outside the engine compartment, but you can risk problems if you hit big puddles and stuff.

Got it !
I had a look at the Stillen High Flow and it all makes sense now - thanks!

Is there any Sound or HP difference between a straight CAI and your combo ??
