G35 - Valentine One Radar... Hardwire for 12v

I have a V1 radar detector that I used to have in my corvette... in the vette, you could hardwire the detector into a 12V line that was under the toeboard on the passenger side...

Has anyone hardwired their V1 into a G35?

Where's the 12V source you used?

M.

I used the radio fuse on the driver side.

I dont know where you have it mounted but I use power from the back of the rear view mirror.

I hardwired mine a month ago. You can use the fuse box as wnt1bd suggested. I got a piggback module from Pep boys that allowed me to just use a unused outlet. Make sure to check that the module you use turns off when you take the key out of the ignition or you might drain the battery.

You always have the front cigarette lighter (tap into the wires behind it which requires popping off the bottom portion), but I really dig the rear view mirror idea to avoid any hangin wires.

I did the same as CT Texas. Easy- a baby could do it. No splicing into any wires. Off when the key is off.

Fuse tap or wiretap into switched fuse/wire ... very easy. I also installed remote display in ashtray.
