Debate: Any 2005 Coupe with working PAC NAV/DVD unit?
Hi Gee Im Fast
I guess when G35driver comes to the shop we will see. Yes I can tell you what every part in there is for because I helped design it. It doesn't matter what it looks like or what you say. You tell me why mine unit has 2 inputs and auto switches to backup camera and everyone else has 1 input. You also tell me why I can sell them cheaper than everyone else. You will also see in the next few weeks a new unit with 2 inputs, OSD and built in TV-Tuner and full remote features and still cheaper than everyone else. Remember you heard it here first. The reason why I mentioned all the other cars is because no one else can do those cars, but that doesn't mean they can't be done. The pictures are on my website to prove it. They didn't work the first time either, but in a couple of weeks I got them to work. You can see from all the posts I sent you to, my quality and work is 100% honest, despite what you believe. If you are an electrical engineer then you should have been able to put a scope on the wires to see why its not working and try to fix it. I can ask you the same question if your a real engineer you tell me EXACTLY what changed for the 05, you don't have the slightest idea. Instead of being so argumentative, you should be saying, maybe since he got all those other cars to work, which no one else has, maybe he can help US (the G35 community) make this work. Only a person who has something to loose if I get it to work would get so upset. You act like I took money from you and didn't deliver what I promised. This is not a contest nor am I looking to take anyone's money. When G35driver comes to the shop I either get it to work like I did the 2006 M35 and he pays $200 or I don't get it to work and he pays NOTHING. Better than that your not going to get. You shouldn't be brain washed into thinking because 1 company can't do it that no one can. I don't want to waste anymore time arguing about this. Just remember given enough time EVERYTHING can be made to work, but don't sit around waiting for someone else to fix it, do it yourself.
Thanks Dominic of www.TVandNav2Go.com

If your a real engineer you'll tell me EXACTLY what changed for the 05 Navigation system that would make it different?
Show me pics and proove me wrong...you keep talking about Benz this, Audi that but yo man, this aint a benz, acura, audi or any of the other cars you mentioned type of forum...you keep dodging the fact about the 05. I am not trying to take ANY business away from you by any means. I support those who try to make an honest living, but guess what...key word is honest.
Proove me wrong man. And by FACT, not by ASSUMPTION. I don't care about your 1,000 jobs on all other cars because none of us here own those cars or atleast aren't focused on DVD conversions for them, only for the 2005 G35.
Please use "2005 G35" the next time you speak or else don't bother posting a reply. Tell me how many of THOSE you've done. If you manufacture it, you got a patent? Or you just outsourcing like everyone else? Plus its amazing how much you unit resembles a few other brands out there...can you explain that?
Thanks,

Well the only problem I really had with you was saying it would work, but you yourself don't even know. If you can get it to work, then you ARE the man and will get alot of business, believe me. Alot of 05 people have been waiting for it. I don't run any business in this area or anything, I actually work else where with robotics but in my spare time am trying to diagnose this situation using the PAC unit. And yes I have taken an oscilloscope to it and have taken measurements, but I did not design it. The design was outsourced so this info was relayed back for the fix...still waiting. No hard feelings man...and if it works, word spreads real quick around here...but before posting it everywhere, your first initiative should have been to test it out first...cmon your an engineer (we all know we can fix it), but knowing first its fixed before advertising is the norm I would think.
Thanks for your efforts and I apologize if I came off a bit argumentive.

Hi Gee Im Fast and Everyone
Today G35driver05 came to the shop to have his 2005 G35 Coupe modded for the Nav to DVD conversion. First I must thank G35driver for taking the time to come by, he was a pleasure to work with and very knowledgeable. The mod is not the standard 04 G35 mod because the screens are different, but like I said before we designed the RGB unit and have the scematics for the RGB unit, so we got it to work. Unlike some other companies in this business, we designed it and are NOT out sourcing designs and just putting our name on it, thats why we can fix whatever problems may come up. This is also why we can do at least 12 cars that no one else can. The 2005 G35 Coupe Nav to DVD conversion was 100% success. The mod has 2 inputs 1 for DVD and 1 for backup camera. The unit auto switches to backup camera when you put the car in reverse. G35driver05 will be posting pictures tonight for everyone to see. The mod for the 05 G35 will cost $299 because of the extra circuits that are needed to make it work, all other mods for all other cars will be $200. Like I said before don't assume because 1 company can't do the mod that no one can. Feel free to call us at 718-763-7367.

Hey Guys,
I just got my 05 Coupe this week. I am interested in doing this mod so i can watch movies in my G and I am doing all my research. If I do this install myself, what else would I need to buy to make it work besides this module?
DVD player obviously...
ac/dc converter?
an audio adapter to get sound?
or do i just need this module and i plug it right into a dvd player or PS2?

Jump on the AUD VID SAT NAV forum on this site and check out the sticky right on top, it will tell you what you need. And if that isn't enough, type "DVD" in the search function on that portion of the forum.

Bottom line is I want to know what I need to buy and where to buy it so i can bring it to a shop to be installed. Gotta remember I am a female, I don't know too much about this stuff and what the technical terms mean or what they do.
