Stupid mistake. Please help!
Stupid mistake. Please help!
Wassup guys,
Well I made my first stupid mistake. I was reversing into a parking space and i guess i backed into the curb. Luckily it didn't hit the body of the car or anything, but it did hit my left exhaust tip. Now my left exhaust is slightly bent down. Here's my question. Anyone know if this can easily be bent back by a auto repair shop or is it a bigger deal. Also, is there anything I should check for that could be more seriously damaged from this? The car sounds fine and exhaust seems to be emitting fine. I'm pretty stupid when it comes to this stuff and i get paranoid about something being jacked up on the car. PLEASE HELP!

I'd get your alignment checked, VDC button retorqued and be sure to adjust your reverberating cog manifold...it's bound to be out of wack....But really, the most you did is bend it and possibly break the weld between the rear muffler canister and the exhaust tip...ANY muffler shop can fix it for pennies...good luck!

I think it can be fixed. but you'll have to remove the exhaust from the hangers.
If you're lucky, it might be just the hanger that's bent. if not, have a muffler shop
straighten the pipe. (if the tip is bent, then you'll have to get a new tip...or just
get a used rear section).
