Did you guys know that Renault bought infiniti?
Renault is a terrible car maker their cars in Europe handles like crap. Issues of reliability still hounds that car maker just like VW and Audi. And the sad thing is that I think they incorporated the suspension of the Renault on the G.

I rented one in Germany last summer and it was the most tight and smooth (but underpowered big time) car that I have driven. The interior was extremely nice for a car in that class. The handling was fine but I don't know anything about reliability other than I had no issues while I had it. (New car of course) I forget which model it was but it was the equivalent of a BMW 318 at the rental agency. I was quite impressed with it myself.

Without Renault, nissan/infiniti wouldnt be where it is today. There quite possibly wouldnt even be a nissan or infiniti anymore since they were doing so poorly in the late 90s. Thanks to Carlos Ghosn, both companies have been revived and are now doing very well.

I owned a 1991 Eagle Premier Limited (Canadian made Renault) sold by Chrysler at their Jeep Eagle dealerships. It was the most comfortable car I had owned. Styling was beautiful for the period it was made and interior was roomy, unique but somewhat plasticky. Handling was good, but car was underpowered. The major issues were quality problems. Paint pealing, ABS brakes failing and many electrical problems. As long as Renault stays with the bussines affairs of Nissan and stays away from the engineering and technical issues, it will be fine, if not it will not take long for Nissan to hit rock bottom.

This is a sample of one and it is a rental car so I would bear that in mind. They don't send them to the dealers with hand-numbing vibration. Renault's quality today bears no comparison to what it was when they pulled out of the US, otherwise they wouldn't be around.
