I am not in the service, but....

THANK YOU!!!!, no matter what opinions may float around as to where we should or shouldn't be in the world.

I never forget that you and the millions that came before you made possible most of what I take for granted.

Well, I used to be a 2673 and 0321, now I'm an 0206. Figure all those out, and you get a prize.

Navy 24 years and been riding big decks in the middle east since USS Nimitz off Lebanon in the early 80s after the Marine barracks bombing. (Be-no Station)..

Did USS Nimitz in 81.
USS Saratoga off Libya 84/85/86 (VA-81)
Cuba 89/90/91
Theodore Roosevelt - Gulf War I in 91/92 (ship's company)
Theodore Roosevelt - Adriatic for Yugoslavia and the Serb/Croatian fiasco in 93 then a nice tour in the Gulf for No Fly. (ship's company)
George Washington - back in the Gulf for No Fly in 97 (C1s)
Last 3.5 years I was in a heavy lift squadron (MH-53s) operating out of Bahrain.

Just rolled to shore duty. Probably my final tour. I always said I'd quit when it stopped being fun and the politics are getting to be too much. It's been a great way to make a living though.

Good luck over there my brothers and keep your powder dry. HIP HIP!
