The owners manual says "The cruise control allows driving at a speed between 25 to 89 MPH"
BUT the cruise light CAN be on without it being set. So he could have been driving that fast but he was not on cruise control, his foot was on the gas pedal. Cruise control just happened to be on.

I wouldn't trust my car with cruise control on @ 140+ mph...
Can't believe cruise control works at that speed. I don't think 140 in the coupe is cruising...

I believe It senses speed not RPMs, in both auto and manuals, with about 1000 rpm left without limiters it is probably capable of at least 170mph. Cruise was on but not active. It stopped at that point it did top off , speedo error in account probably 145 MPH, you need about three miles of no cops no trafic and good highway to be safe, and some "cojones" cause consequences are nasty. Dags1800 Show me 155 on the Manual six speed , don't go by what they tell you, show proof!! By the way it felt good , but it is the first and last time my car goes over 75 , LOL. Terrific...then it's really true. Thanks for that shot. You had plenty left to go. Just a word of caution and I'm not preaching. I never took a vehicle over 110...and if though, just to reach it and back off immediately. I am not concerned about the "G" itself at 150.....it's the unpredictability of those damn tires.

My car is just a plain coupe, no aero package, no CAI, no fancy exhaust system, maybe one or all of these mods may help it get to this speed faster, but how much faster??? THIS WAS TOP SPEED , at least for my car, I felt no handling problems at all, and the tires are rated for such a speed and then some. in my perspective the car has all it needs to handle this speed without any mods, remember those Infiniti engineers get paid the big bucks, they did well!!
