F*CKING VALET SERVICE!!!
F*CKING VALET SERVICE!!!
Ok first of all never ever F*ucking valet your car. I never valet any of my cars, but i went to this 5 star restaurant here in NYC so i thought hey 5 star restaurant they get ferraris, bentleys everyday hey why not valet my car. Well when i was done with dinner and i recieve my car the whole left front rim was scratched up the tired was F(Cked up and then i see a nice scratch on the bumper. When i saw that i got crazy and started going nuts to the guys that worked for the valet company. Anyway after almost 1hr arguing with the manager i wasn't able to get absolutely sh&t for the scratched rim and bumper that supposely they are not responsible all this bullsh!t now i'm gonna have to get a new tire and a new rim, and also fix the bumper out of my own damn pocket. Excuse me about all the foul language but i'm still heated, anyway does anyone know where i can find just 1 rim I have the 6MT coupe and it comes with the sport package so i need just one maybe 2 i'll keep the other just in case. Guys help me out!!!!
Re: F*CKING VALET SERVICE!!!
Man sorry to hear about that. I swear I would of sued the hell out of them. Well I think I'm safe for now as long as Jack in the Box don't got a Vallet yet... Being that I'm very broke now... I never trusted those Vallet guys, did you count the miles on your car before you gave them the keys? From what I heard they park the car's very close to each other car's and if you got a big vallet dude he's gonna do some door smashing trying to hop in your ride and bring you the car... If they did park the car, from what I've heard also is that some take the car's for a joy ride... Did they give you a policy on how they operate there business? They should fix all damages to the car that they did creat... That's just wrong. Sounds like our local Tow Company...
Re: F*CKING VALET SERVICE!!!
Keep on them, my buddy came back to his car that had been "hit by a pole" and the whole back left side was smashed in with yellow paint all over it. The valet company ended up paying for it.

Re: F*CKING VALET SERVICE!!!
I feel your pain. I went to a resturant and did some valet service with my old car, and current weekday car. This was way before I got the G35. Found money missing in my ash tray. About $10 dollars in rolled up quarters. I use it just in case I need to meter the car. Well,.....they took all the quarters from my ash tray. I went back after paying $5 for valet, and a $2 tip + the $10 in rolled up quarters =$17 dollars. I went to the manager. Couldn't do anything. Within the stub that they give you to claim you car is a disclaimer. They are not held responsible for any damage to the car or items lost .
Re: F*CKING VALET SERVICE!!!
For those of us who have had unfortunate accidents like this with scratched rims...(but only one)...we should see if we can get together to buy a set off of another owner who is selling and split them...of course "that sounds good in theory...but in theory...communism works..."
My front right rim could use a replacement...I'd probably be willing to go in on it with someone who has a similar problem...just a thought...

I thought valet companies had insurance? Anyone can be held accountable for gross negligence etc.

Gun is right. I'm not an attorney and don't know the laws in NY. But even WITH a disclaimer on the stub or a sign, I think they are still liable for damage that is due to neglect. Just saying they are not responsible does not release them of liability. You might want to look at trying to sue em in small claims court. After all, they GOTTA have general liability insurance for that they would just make a claim on to pay you with.
Re: F*CKING VALET SERVICE!!!
Yeah guys see that's the thing that pisses me off because i never vallet my car NEVER, but me thinking because it's a high class 5 star restaurant hey why not they drive better cars like nothing. Eddie that was the first thing i did was make sure the odometer was where i first checked and then after that, that's when i saw the horrible, ok and about the policy **** i spent atleast 30 mins on that BS policy that supposely they are not responsible for any damages unless the car was a total lost all this BS. I'm talking to my lawyer right now, and from there see what happens. My father's MB CL600 was scratched at a Hertz parking garage and the fixed it, but that's because they had some type of policy. Cabby if the damage was to that extent they would pay for it but because it was only a scratched rim, and a small scratch on the bumper they don't do ****, and taylor hey i'm cool for that idea let me know if you would like to do that!!!
Re: F*CKING VALET SERVICE!!!
otak (and others), I feel your pain. especially since I'm the one that usually screws up my own rims (but very little).
I hope this helps: in the back of AutoWeek mag are classifieds. there's a whole bunch of wheel places and some of them seem to stock original wheels---I suppose they take them in on trades.
also, call tirerack. they used to take in original wheels as trade for new ones from them. I don't know if they still do. or they may want to sell them in sets of four only.
frankly, as good as some of the aftermarket wheels look, I really like the looks of the original 18's plus it's a pretty close match color-wise with my platinum coupe especially since I'm not into that chrome look.
hope it turns out well. I'll keep thinking of other sources and pass on any I find. There's a small meet this weekend and I'll ask anyone for their ideas, too. Drive well and have fun.

Re: F*CKING VALET SERVICE!!!
Man, that is unforgivable! Totally uncalled for. Valet Service is BS in my opinion. My wife and I were going to try out an upscale resturaunt here in So Cal. When we arrived I saw the Valet sign. I say oh [censored]. When I asked about self parking they said you have to Valet, no self parking available.I told the valet attendant to hold on, called the resteraunt on my cell and clearly stated. "Cancel my reservation". I explained why. Just for the reasons you experienced.
We went on to another, less upper crust eatery....probably had a better meal. NEVER VALET!!!! They don't care about your property.
My condolences.....Growler

Re: F*CKING VALET SERVICE!!!
Do you remember the name of the resturant that was Valet only in So Cali Grower? So far I haven't ran into one expensive one yet that was Valet only. Would help me avoid it later on in the future. Thanks in advance.

Re: F*CKING VALET SERVICE!!!
My sentiments exactly , bro. Nobody touches my car unless I want them to. And NEVER, EVER a loser valet, who works for a loser valet company.....Man if that were my car, I'd want blood!!!!!!!
BondG35c-- Don't let it go bro. These wheels and tires are too damned expensive, as well as new paint jobs. If they won't listen to you then maybe they will to your lawyer. Go get 'em, and good luck.

Re: F*CKING VALET SERVICE!!!
I've gone to a few restuarants like that and I have just basically dropped my G/F off at the front and taken the car down the street. Anywhere I can park where it's safe and I can park it myself. I'm so sorry to all you guys above with damaged cars.
I do believe there has got to be some type of recourse for you guys. They can't just cause thousands of dollars of damage and say oops sorry your SOL sucker. F#CK that ****, period. I will never valet my car, ever. I have and will continue to drive away when they say Valet only here Sir.
Another quick story too that sealed my decision. My friend introduced me to a friend of his while at a bar, that works as a Valet in Long Beach at a VERY upscale restuarant. He found out that I had a G35 and kept raving about how he loved it so much.
I asked him why and he told me that some guy had came to the restuarant months ago with a 6MT and after he went into the restuarant he and another guy had taken it out for a quick joy ride at high speed around town. I thinkin this guy MUST be an idiot, especially for telling me of all people. The messed up thing about it is that about a month later I found out from my friend that this same guy destroyed the front of a '03 Porsche 996 turbo because he was driving it recklessly in the parking lot of the restuarant.
He also told me the guy called the cops and tried to have the idiot arrested. I'm sure he is filing a lawsuit as well.
Take my advice, learn to walk when comes to valet only guys. Again my condolences to those guys with damaged cars. Peace.
