K guys, I read some where that an unsubscribed XM still would recieve the 7 or so preview channels, is this true, and if so, is this true for Sirius also?

 

for the first 3 months i believe. well that's how it was for me.

 

What channels did you get the first 3 months...all of them or just preview channels?

Secondly, your saying that you have nothing now? (My question is that I heard that you still get the preview channels after the 3 months even if you dont subscribe?)

 

When I installed sirius I got all the 7 or so preview channels. Since I never called it in to activate it I would say its safe to assume I would always get these channels for "free." When I called in to activate it they told me I was elligible to get all channels free for 3 months...

 

Thanks wolf, thats the answer to my question...so the free "preview" isn't really the 3 months free subscription because you would be getting ALL the channels...those bastards (I thought dealer had to activate it?) but I guess I never knew. Oh well...

For those with Satellite radio, peep www.techbargains.com and www.bensbargains.net near the end of the year...they handed out free year long XM subscriptions on New YEars Eve (go figure)...I found out the next day...but it doesn't matter (I didn't have the car yet, or XM)

 

You don't need to have the dealer activate it.. You have to call Sirius anyway to give them the credit card.. You do have to be sitting in your car with the radio on to activate it.
