xxpolo47xx: thanks for the response. I just seriously started shopping for a new car so I am still new to the whole "good price/bad price" thing.

More opinions should be great. I want to see if anyone who bought a G recently in the bay can tell me what the market value is right now for one that's similar to mine. cause man, seems like xxpolo47xx got one hell of a deal.

I'm looking for an 05 AT5, premium, aero, maybe Nav/XM .

Is anyone seeing the pricing coming down on the AT's as the last of the 05 build year is approaching?

Is it better to get a deal by 'agreeing' to THEIR finance rather than outright buy it? or outside the dealer lenders?

xxpolo47xx did get a great deal. its pretty much near vpp pricing. eddie269, you might want to try the new oakland dealership too. not sure what they have in stock but some of the people from pleasanton transferred to oakland, and those same people have gotten great reviews on this board.

xxpolo47xx: its not so much that people hate lojack, i think its more that peninsula automatically installs and charges you for it without a choice. i was told its a mandatory option when i was there. so they pretty much charge an extra 3k on everything . no other dealership in the bay does this.

Well only way you gonna find out how low they will go, is go to dealershipp and start negotiate, since you know what some other ppl have paid, so hold firm to that price, and be perpare to walk, just start lower than Polo's number....good luck

Polo47...not that i "hate" lo-jack, its just the dealership add it on automaticly or charges too much for it.

Sure the 05's 5AT will come down, but how low tho? right now, we can get around 500 above invoice, will they go 500 below invoice, 4~5 months from now? the question is, are you willing to wait that long to drive an G? thats if you get thousand more off than now. I know I cant (this is my second G in two years by the way )

Its always good idea if you can get pre-approved, so you will know what APRs you at, dont just trust what dealer tells you.

i did a lot of research before i bought my g. i still havent picked it up from the dealer. hopefully tomorrow. go to cars direct.com and pick out the options you want. it will show an invoice price. look to pay invoice plus 1000 and you should be fine. if you want a good price email me and i will set you up with someone i know at a dealership. FriscoD415: sent you an email.

If I could get a 6MT for $1000 over invoice, that'd be great. But it sounds kind of unrealistic considering how hard it is to bargain with 6MT model.

Can you list your specific model and price you Paid?

I have a 04 G 5AT and am looking at the 05 6MT with prem, nav, full aero, fully loaded. MSRP on it is 40k and the dealer is offering me 37,100. I could either trade in or sell privatly. I have a deal privatly going for $30,000 and trade in would be around $28,000. Trade in would be a lot less hassle, but I'm not sure.

Mike, that sounds like a damn good price.

I may look into 6mt w/ premium, splash guards, trunk mat, aero and possibly navi. I have a feeling my dealer in Indy isn't going to budge though, they are the only Infiniti dealer around.

Yeah, I think in CA, the demand may be higher, hence higher prices.

Yeah there are a lot of people on this board that have gotten great deals. But it is very rare to see a deal like mikeemaf in CA. I think So Cal got it worse.
