Early lease termination success!

I've decided to get out of my 04 lease a few months early so I can enjoy the summer in my (new to me) '02 M5. My cost of early termination was $0, as was my wear and tear. What a great deal! I suppose I could have bought it out and resold it at a slight profit, but this was so simple, I couldn't resist.

Anyway, it's been fun........

I originally had a 24 month lease/$0 down on my 04 coupe. I called IFS last month aftering hearing about the early lease termination program. They came back with a $0 cost early return quote.(I'm 19 months into my lease) I have 30 days from the date of the quote to get the car inspected and returned to the nearest dealer. I called the inspection company and had them come out last week to check for excess wear and tear and it came back with $0 due. I also didn't have to make my current payment for the 30 day period (If I don't return the car, it would be due).

I'm returning the car on Wednesday, and picking up the M5 on Thursday.

I guess infiniti wants to get the cars back and sell them while they're hot.

Hmmm. I don't see how they can recover substantial monies without stipulations that owners must release another Infiniti, I just don't see the return.. Granted.. the used car market is right now is great shortage of quality cars. Given that and the fact that the G35's are certainly holding their value, there's money to be made..but IFS is not in the auto wholesale biz. There must be another reason.
Anyone in the know?
