getting into the 13's

what would it really take for our cars to hit 13.9, this of course without going FI.The guys over at my350 are hitting low to mid 13's all day. Granted that our cars are a bit heavier but better looking than the 350z, if possible list the mods and post the time slips and trap speed.

I want to put money into the car but if it's not going to hit 13's, I rather spend it on my girlfriend.

remove unnecessary weight when you go to the track. Depends on how "dedicated" you are. Spare tires, jack, seats, paddings, console, A/C....
get lighter rims.

Learn how to launch it, get slicks on lightweight 17" wheels, and get plenum and exhaust mods.

Check the Drag forum. Plenty of G35s in the 13s already with mods listed.

Do you want to ALWAYS be in the 13's or do you just want to do it from time to time?

If you always want to be able to run 13's, you'll need to do some weight reduction and get some lightweight 18's on your car (possibly 17's). You'll also need a few NA performance mods like...

plenum or spacer
intake
headers
straight pipes or h/f cats

Anyone can remove their spare tire, put on light weight and undersized slicks and go out and run a 13.8 in a G35, but what good is that if you go back home and transform your car back into a 14.4 second pig.
