Skyline Question???

I ve fot A question hopefully someone better informed can answer for me......... So here it is: The skyline is due out 2007 ..right? ok ... So is the skyline going to be like a Super version of the G .....like maybe you would say the 3series cuope bmw and M3 kinda similar??.....or is it going to be a new version of the G which means the G will change body style 2007 (kinda early)?? ...Or will the be a 100% different car (as in the will still be a G35 and a Skyline)???

-----Thanks ahead of time just a little confused ...

Nissan officialy said that they are separating GT-R and Skyline. GT-R will be a totallly different car.

Skyline is not due 2007, but the V36 Skyline is due in 2007

Skylines is currently being sold in Japan.

why do ppl keep refering the GTR to "Skyline" only???

G/Z and GT-R will surely share the chasis. However, Skyline and GT-R are separated... there will be no more Skyline GT-R. It's just GT-R.

RE: Skyline

Hello all,

To the best of my knowledge, the GT35R or 2007 USM "Skyline" will be based off the existing G35 Coupe and powered by the VQ35DETT powerplant. The major difference is the addition of the DETT behind VQ35 this signifies the Twin Turbo. Nissan will no doubt do something to offset this car from the other body style G cars out there, but I doubt it will be a complete redesign. Their end goal with this car is to enter into the "supercar" class of vehicles.

The last article I read said that the official target for performance numbers is the Porcshe 911 Turbo. I have pasted some spy photo's of the car in testing on Nurburgring.

Best Regards,

Everything in Japan is sold as a Nissan, so everything you hear about it being sold as a Nissan doesn't mean anything; they will most certianly sell it as a Infiniti in the US. At this stage they were caught just playing around with engines, so no one really knows if a real production model will come out of it. It won't devalue our cars since it will most certainly be very pricey. (Think about it; does the M5 devaule the 5 series or 3 series?)

they pretty much confirmed that its gonna use a VQ32DETT

as for seperating Skyline and GTR. there is only one market in this world that sells Skylines now, and thats Japan. there is a big chance the Skyline GTR is going to be sold in japan only while the rest of the world gets the Infiniti GTR (hence the seperation from Skyline and GTR, since the rest of the world doesnt even have a Skyline)

and the next GTR is not based off the current G35 coupe. its gonna be based off the next G35 coupe aka V36 Skyline
