For Those With Stock Navigation

Just a quick cosmetic question.

Do most of you guys keep your navi up during driving even though your not "using" it at the time or do you prefer it down?

I have the 05 and since it automatically comes up if you left it up, it has stayed up almost since I have had it. I hope the lifespan of these are long though heh.

It only depends if you keep your sunroof in the tilted open positon J/k I couldn't resist commenting on that because it sounded so much like the sunroof thread a while back.

During the day, when I am not using my navigation or the fuel monitor, I leave it down.

During the evening, I tend to keep it up. I like it when people say "WOW!" from my car's outer appearance and then when they see the NAVI monitor glowing and say "WOW!" again, I smile even more.

Life is good.....

On my Sedan, (sold) and my Coupe (now with my bro), I kept the navi up all the time for either mileage data or map data. The M now has an exposed screan all the time now but it's always on too.

I keep it up always unless I travel to some unfamiliar part of town and park... down goes the navi screen.

I feel naked without having my map in front of me. It helps me out a lot, sometimes I am not sure exactly how far away my turn is and its a lot easier to keep and eye on the map rather than have the street come up and I miss it. I had 5 tv's in my older car so for cosmetic purposes, the stock navi really doesnt impress me

Wait...in the 05's the navi screen is motorized? Because the 03 and 04 you have to push it down to hide it.

When driving, mine's up more than down. Even when I'm not using guided navigation, I'm probably using the trip or fuel computers. When I'm parked, it's always down.
