I thought your rear tires looked too small too. Go to http://www.miata.net/garage/tirecalc.html and put in the stock size and the new size.

Compared w/ stock 18's (245/45-18), your rear tires are 4.4% too small (26.7" diam vs. 25.5" diam). The general rule is 3% difference max. You should have gone w/ 35-series tires (only 0.4% off).

Basically, when your speedo 60 mph, you are actually going 57.3. ABS and VDC may get confused a little too.

For the front, you are good (only 0.8% different from stock).

BTW, what tires did you get?

thanks for the info homie.... i have seen alot of people go with the same size in the rear like mine.... they are hankooks....
