I have crap going on five ways to Sunday on my front. I bought pre-owned, but it was a car from NJ or NY. Since I am in PA, I do not need front plates. The first thing that you see when you take the plate off is the two holes to hold the bracket (Honda figures out how to mount with screws under the bumper, why not anybody else) The next thing you will notice is the four indents from screws to mount the plate to the holder because the screws used were screwed in too far. Of course that does not even account for the nice square hole because the tow hook cover is no where in the car at all and my dealer does not have any extra laying around because they are in PA and do not mount front plates.

So if anybody has a Laser Red tow hook cover laying around, I will gladly take it off your hands for a reasonable price. Other than that, I just try to approach the car from the rear and side so I don't notice it.

Get the plugs! I bought a pair and they're great. Didn't fit so well, but I wrapped it with some duct tape and it fit. Won't come out now color matches perfectly but the price for them suck. Someone came up with an alternative somewhere but I don't remember how they did it. Had to do with something bought from Home Depot / Lowes and touch up paint.

*edit* here's a pic of mine with the plugs, not a good front shot but you get the idea.

It looked bad, but I really didn't want the front plates...I ended up finding a guy (recommended from SoCal dealer) that can plug it up and paint that section (clearcoat the rest of bumper)...have pics I can email yah with before and afters if that helps...

If you don't want plates and can get another car, I'd wait!

I dont have a front plate on here is Washington, but I have it in my windshield and the cops dont seem to care. Some people dont like the plate in their windshield but i think it looks better than having it on your front bumper.

Are all the dealers' infinitis drilled with front bumper holes already?

Or if I order, can I ask them not to drill any holes?

My dealer got sued for not drilling a hole on one of their customers so they do that for all the cars. IMO, modified cars are more likely to get a ticket for not having a front plate on. On my lightly modified Integra back in 95, I got pulled over so many times just for not having my front plate on. Ever since I stopped modifying my car when I bought my new prelude in 99, I've never gotten a ticket for not having the front plate. It's been over 6 years.

I love that about buying from Grubbs in Texas. Car delivered to CA with NO HOLES! I think Texas doesn't even require front plates anymore, so maybe just one more reason to buy from that state.
