First Coupe Brochure

First Coupe Brochure
I was just wondering if anyone here remembers the first brochure that Infiniti sent out (you applied for it through the website) - it was the one that had the silver coupe from every angle - the reason I bring this up was that I found it rummaging through some old papers and took a look at it yesterday, and guess what...the coupe was supposed to have drilled alum pedals! This was actually one of the big selling points on the interior, so why would they scrap them? Just wondering if anyone else realized/remembered that...

Re: First Coupe Brochure
I still have a copy of that brochure. However, the dealer that gave it to me clearly wrote in marker pen on that page (and I quote...):
"THE PRODUCTION G35 COUPE WILL NOT HAVE THESE PEDALS!!!"
So fortunately, I knew this ahead of time.
They really do look great, but I always wondered if they would be slippery to operate if I got in the car say on a sloppy wet rainy day? I imagine the basic rubber surfaces, or whatever they are, would be more practical in this regard.
Also, if you look, you'll notice another thing we never got, those "SPORT" badges on the sides of the front fenders and on the steering wheel. I can't say I'm too sad about that, tho. The car looks classier without 'em.

Re: First Coupe Brochure
no, the aluminum ones have little rubber bumps that make them even more grippie than the standard rubber ones. I put mine on yesterday.
That brochure also shows a picture of an extra seat adjust switch, guess we got screwed on that too!

Re: First Coupe Brochure
hey kojo, the clutch and brake have rubber backings, the gas pedal is pure aluminum, however, your shoe's soles are made out of rubber, so therefore there will be no slippage even on rainy days
