Question Red Line Water Wetter

Any experience with Red Line Water Wetter? Good or bad?

Can't find any previous posts at all on this site regarding the product.

It's a good product. I have it in my G. Can I notice a difference? No, but it's good to have in there.

There has been debate whether water wetter can actually hurt the car so I'd stay away until it's been settled. There's honestly no point in putting it in since most people are not racing these G35s in hot weather and on the track 247. Water and coolant does fine.

I also have ran water wetter in many of my cars. I am now running Royal Purple's purple ice product which is pretty much the same thing. You can run any of these products with no problem, the key is to annually flush your coolant system.

Wouldn't a cooler running car be more beneficial, even if it is not tracked? Thanks.

Yes, but only if your car is running hotter than its optimal temperature range.

But isn't cooler better for an engine, even if it is operating within factory spec? Thanks.

Well the debate wasnt if the water wetter can cool temps down...it was whether or not it can end up damaging parts in the radiator. I dont remember the exact statements (I believe it was talked about on Supraforums) regarding if the water wetter isnt changed/flushed out from time to time, it can gum up inside.

I'd rather be safe than sorry and the operating temperatures of a stock g35 even in hot weather being driven hard will probably be well within normal.

As for your original Q, I guess a similiar question might be if a normal car (not high compression or FI) can run on 87octane just fine, would it be beneficial for the car to run 93? You might sleep better at night but that's probably about it.
