Yes. GT = Gran Turismo. The Italians coined the term. The term is used to describe both a type of car as well as a type of race. The G35 is a GT (performance mixed with a bit of luxury or comfort.) Le Mans and Mille Miglia are GT races.

Sorry, tool....Ive just always known it to be 'gran touring' and gran torismo to me was just a game.
