question about headlights

i had my driver's side headlight stolen about 2 weeks ago, i recently found one for sale privatley......my question is how hard is it to put in?
does anyone know what steps are required to install it?
the one i found for sale is missing the bottom tab nearest to the grill.
i'm hoping to fabricate something once to have the headlight to make it secure.
has anyone done anything like this?
am i being realstic with my fabrication idea?
thanks for any help you can provide, just don't want to spend almost $900 on the light!

Do you by any chance still have your bottom tab nearest the grill? If so, it's your head light.

Some body stole your Hadlight? How did they remove it without opening the hood? Did somebody leave their car open

seriously - ask the guy you're buying that broken one from... it was stolen just as yours is stolen and all you're doing is propagating the problem. Turn the mf'er into the cops.

to install/remove headlights properly, you must remove the bumper. take off all the 10 mm bolts you see under the front bumper that connect it to the under panel. pull back the fender lining in the wheel well and you will see two self tapping 10 mm screws right below the headlight on each side. and the bumper is off. everything is pretty self explanitory after that.

sorry no pics.
