Going to buy the G35 this weekend

Well I finally decided on the G35 Coupe as my new car. Now the question is what package do I get, keeping in mine that I was the lowest monthly payments.

I was thinking of just the base model, could I live without the extras? What do you guys recommend?

Seems like the Sport tuned suspension would be good. I did want the Nav but that would be about $4500 more, $2500 for the premium and then another $2k for the Nav, I think I am going to forgo this option, It would be nice but would I really use it that much?

What options did you guys get and what did your payments look like?

Are you looking for a 6MT or an AT? It would be extremely hard to find a 6MT without the premium package (at least in California). Good luck with your search.

I think you'd totally regret not having at least the Premium package. Nav I can definitely do without, but I love all the goodies that come with the Premium. My monthly came out to $638/month ($2K down) for 5 years with the 2.9% financing for an '05 6MT Coupe in So-Cal. That is of course without insurance, which bumps it up quite a bit. Hope this helps, and good luck on finding your car.

Agree....

When I bought my sedan, there were NO base coupes or sedans on the lot. All had at least Premium A and it went up from there.

I got premium C and I'm very pleased with the decision. The only thing I could do without (really) are the auto-headlights. I don't use the feature. I probably would delete the reclining rear seats too - I'll never use them.. Maybe my passengers will, but I'll never ride in the backseat in this car..

Didn't get sport suspension because I had a sport suspension/tires package on my last car and it beat me to death. To harsh on the roads down here and transmitting the impact to the chassis through the harder suspension made the car grow new creaks and groans that weren't there prior to.

hey G-Three,

when did the 2.9% financing start with Infiniti? Is it just for this month? I haven't seen any ads for it in So Cal.

Did you buy your car recently?

Yeah, I bought the car on the 17th of this month. I just told the dealer that I'd be financing through my credit union for 3.99% and he told me that he could beat it and gave me the 2.9% (this of course, was at the moment I was about to walk out because he only gave me $1K over invoice as opposed to $500 over ).

Have you test-driven? Seen cars with and without the options? Sounds like you need to spend time looking at and researching the various options before you make up your mind. You also need to find out what cars are actually available to you in your area with various combinations of options. See if your local dealers have their inventory listed online. It's unlikely you're going to find exactly what you want.

This was at Glendale Infiniti. Everything was discussed via email prior to me stepping onto the lot. So once I got there (which was nearly closing time) everything was set up rather quickly, no haggling, no BS, just straight business. I had a great experience there, and actually maintain a relationship with my salesguy still. But then again, to each their own. Good luck.

heh...i think i saw your car at Glendale Infiniti not too long ago. They wouldn't give me much of a deal on a diamond graphite one so I left. BTW...everyone was after that car you picked up. Hot color commodity.

Hey Mario, I'm definitely not trying to scare ya cause I know that there are a lot of happy G owners but there are several such as myself that have had nothing but issues with their cars. With this being said, I think you should use that knowledge to negotiate on the car and if possible have the dealer throw in the extended warranty. If you're getting the auto, I don't think going w/o the VLSD will be that noticeable for you but I do agree that if you can, go for the premium pkg. Cloth interior on a G should not be an option at all. Also, I'm thinkin replacing 18's will be cheper than 19's. The G will go through the rears like butter (expect anywhere b/t 8-20k miles) out of your rears depending how hard you are on the car.

Hope this helps.
