Navigation (OEM) Installed

How much do you think it would cost me to have Infiniti put the Navigation In my current 05 G coupe. Do you think It would be a mistake?. If i have them do it i assume they will have to tare appart the hole head unit. Do you think this will cause rattles in the G. The main reason i want It is becuase it looks cool. (LOL) , and gives the interior the appreance of a very high end auto.

Thanks for you advise.

Admins, just remove the search function, they just can't comprehend how to use it.

I understand why you would want to have the stock OEM Navi, but without getting it installed from the factory, it would be either too hard for the dealer to install or would just too much...i would recommend a pioneer unit if you really wanted a Navi in the car

I don't think the necessary wiring is in place for Nav if you didn't get it from the factory.

I asked the dealer this before getting my G and they said they "will not install OEM navigation into a non-navi G". I'd recommend the touch screen made to fit in the same housing. It's pretty awsome and folds down into your compartment where the OEM navi would also fold away. Similar, but different folding style and no button-control panel since it's a touch screen. I forget who makes it, but search on here...it's talked about a lot.

Yes this has been covered many a time, but it's generally thought that installing the OEM Navi is way too complicated and time consuming, thus expensive, to be practical.
If an aftermarket unit is not to your liking, then you'll have to take the hit to trade up to a navi equipped ride.

Wow, that proves that it can be done, but even with those maaaaaaad Skilz, it would take a looooong time, with much down time. Kudos to him tho. I'm impressed.
Good catch redwillow, I missed that one.

05GCOUPE6MT, i declined getting the oem navi TWICE!
only cost $2500 installed...
