The problem with Maximas is the crappy resale value among others. The '04 Maxes as a first year of the 6th gen and first made in the US were quite problematic, don't know if they've fixed everything in 05 since I stopped reading their forums.

If I was in the market for a 4 door, I'd definitely take the 05 sedan over a TL or a Maxima, but to me handling is everything. Coming from a Maxima I just couldn't stand hitting the gas and ending up 2 lanes across w/ the FWD, but that's just me. The G sedan looks so nice in TB and DG.

The ge sedan will handle with the coupe, accelerate with the coupe and stop with the coupe. AND cost less the the coupe. Thats why. That being said. If the prices wrere more comperable, I would have bought a coupe too.

In that same situation I would still get the G. It was much less than a loaded Maxima.

I liked the sedan from the time they first come out. Then, the coupe came out and I was like, that's about the best looking car made, period. I'm buying the coupe, but if my wife wasn't on the minivan (the sliding doors are convenient for the kids) kick, I'd try and talk her into the sedan as a second car in the family. I'd get to drive it too, because my G coupe will not be parked in the Walmart parking lot. Sedan owners, please don't take that wrong. Bottom line, if I was in the market for a sedan it would most likely be the G. Unless, I decided the hell with gas prices and bought a Chrysler 300C SRT-8. 420hp 425 lb ft torque. 14 city 19 highway.

You guys can say we are paying $5,000 for the same car, but I will tell you that you are paying for popularity...yes my friends, supply and demand. The same reason you see 10 on the road, is the same reason why you pay more.

Now going back to topic, I agree that the sedan isn't my flavor IF I were to get a sedan. However, I am diggin the new 05's....there is something about them that sets them apart from the other years. I thinks its the more agressive styling.

The only way I would even consider buying a g35 sedan, is if the was no g35 coupe.

Maybe thats why the maxima seems more appealing.

Well if you are buying something for superficial reasons I get your point. But the Maxima is FWD, and will not have the same driving experience.

The Sedan is a great car, as is the Coupe. There are many here who have both so let's not start another Sedan/Coupe war please.
We've had more than enough of those issues.

You are definitely entitled to your own opinion, but you are pretty much the person i was referencing in this thread... https://g35driver.com/forums/g35-coupe-v35-2003-07/55679-driver-seat-discomfort-free-20-min-solution.html when i was talking about what's wrong with this board. Argueing which car is better...plain stupid and immature...

On the contrary - I think the sedan has great lines.

I think the sedan is ugly as sin and brings a bad name to the G35. I wish they'd discontinue the sedan and come up with a vehicle that stood on it's own.

I often compare the G to the BMW 3 series - no question that the G coupe wins the comparo hands down, but the sedan is a completely different situation. No WAY is the G35 sedan even in the same league as the 330, especially the new one, with regard to exterior styling.

If I were going to get a sedan, I wouldn't look twice at the G.

I think the sedans are really nice, especially the 05s.
