i used a dyno that was at modified madness.. everyone who used it did get lower numbers than what they had before.. but im assuming becuase this dyno was actually correct.. ive heard that dynojets get great numbers that are not actual.. maybe i heard wrong.. can someone clarify.. and how would the mods i have give me less power? seriously think about it

no, dyno jet gives lower #'s because they factor in wheels unlike dyna pack and i believe mustang dyno's give higher #'s too.......thats the only ones ive heard of. Now if your dyno wasn't SAE corrected and say you were in Iraq in the middle of summer (i know you didn't dyno there) then yes, your #'s would be lower than normal.

You mods probably did't give you less power, though you didn't provide a A/F ratio which could be the problem, your rims definitely hindered your power.

I have a new feeling on modifications on our engine. I talked to a guy with a 350z tonight. Stock, he dynoed 239hp. Since, he has added Ijen cold air intake, DC Sports headers, Mine(sp?) test pipes, and HKS exhaust. He dynoed 272hp with all these mods. Now why doesn't our car respond as well, damnit?

they don't all do that though, check on the 350z board and they have the same problem as us.

Red Dyno = Stock @50 degrees damp weather.
Blue Dyno = Stock + 1/2" Spacer @ 90+ degrees dry weather.

don't know if those # are true, but a 350Z is atleast 7" shorter on the drive shaft, and is made of Carbon Fiber. ours is well.... made of steel, which is heavier. CFDS (carbon fiber drive shaft's) also tend to make RWHP loss less than our normal 18%.

Johnny, temp and humidity have no effect on SAE #'s.

That's an awesome increase of horsepower for just adding a 1/2" spacer..such a cheap mod too

^actually the only place where he is making more power, that could be felt, would be between 2k and 3k rpms.....you have to look at the whole powerband, not just the peak hp gain, its actually really misleading.

But the peak hp extends the powerband another 300-400 rpms which helps more than you think.

^^^ Completely agree with you - if you wanted a "race" car, you should have gotten the Z.

Does anyone have any dyno graphs of a bone stock 5AT G35C? What is the 1/2" spacer mod that you guys are talking about? Thanks! I'm new to this site . I just picked up my 04 Black Obsidian 5AT G35C and I love this car (it is a lot different from my cammed, all-motor Integra). Sorry to get OT.

<---------- Will be doing his research on the G35C on this site.
