New G35 with Z tube question.

Hello all,

Have had my new '05 G35 6MT BS Coupe since last Friday afternoon. Drove away from the dealer with 17 miles on the G and after a long weekend of coastal and valley driving, my G now has 755 miles on it. Whew . . . What a blast! It's was hard keeping my G under 4k rpm . . .

I am installing an OEM Z tube, when it arrives. Obviously, my G is as stock as they come, at this point. When I install the Z tube , what can I expect with regards to the new sound quality. A bit louder is okay, but not all that important. However, I am more interested in the new tone, if any. Would the tone of the exhaust be a bit lower?

I feel that at 3k rpm and above the exhaust sounds a bit high pitched and almost ricey, if you will.

Nonetheless, I love my new G! Any and all comments would be welcome from G owners with just a Z tube mod, for starters.

Thanks!

Yes, the engine is much, much, much louder, well I think so at least. I love it--however I dont think the exhaust note will change.

it was the 755 miles that made me remember, anyhow, like hockey said, engine will get lower and louder, but exhaust wont change much...

if u wanna change the exhaust note get another exhaust.
it still might be too early tho, maybe the exhaust note will change once your car is broken in, i think mine did...?? or was it my imagination?!
