Basic questions on Warranty & Insurance

1. If I get a Coupe from say ABC infiniti dealer can I service my car under company warranty at any other Infiniti dealership?

2. When I finance my car what minimum deductible is required? 250, 500 or 1000.

Thanks.

1. Yes

2. Not sure what you're talking about. The only deductibles I know of are for auto insurance and an extended warranty. The dollar figures you'd posted are too high for extended warranties so I'm assuming you're talking about auto insurance? In my state there is no minimum deductible required.

Sorry for not being clear. The deductible is for Insurance. I have heard that when financing usually your deductible is lower, thereby making insurance to be higher.

1 - yes, if you buy your car at one Infiniti dealership, you can have it serviced and have warranty work performed at another Infiniti dealership.

2 - When you finance the car, the lien holder will only require you to carry insurance. To the best of my knowledge, all the major lending institutions require full coverage be applied to the car. As for the deductible, that's between you, your agent, and your wallet - the lien holder shouldn't have a requirement.

Most finance companies will require you to carry a maximum deductable amount on your insurance for comp and collision. In most cases, the average amount is $500, but I've seen some that can go as high as $1000. If you are leasing the car, they will require you to carry minimum limits of at least 100/300 on top of the maximum allowable deductables.

I bought mine at Gunn Infiniti in San Antonio, TX. They told me I could even take it to any NISSAN dealership for service. We don't have an Infiniti dealership in Corpus Christi. SA is 200 miles away.

They (Gunn) told me no warranty work or major service - just oil changes, which I do myself.

Also in Corpus. Ed Hicks Nissan is on my poop list. When I needed a Nissan dealership to order my damaged wheel, they 'didn't want to get involved.'

In short, they suck.

hmmmm..
