VPP Question

Does the dealer get reimbursed from Infinity when you buy through the VPP? If so how much?

I'm thinking about trading up from my '04 AT to a '05 MT.

Thanks,
Don

LOL... ROTHFLMAO. I wish I could get some infinity speakers on VPP. Seriously though, I got my 05 on VPP and the dealer does make some money on VPP, just not much ($350 or less i would think). I doubt they get reimbursed for anything. Why does that matter? The only thing that should matter is the deal you get and VPP is a sweet deal.

Oops "I" not "Y"

My logic was that if they get a bigger kickback from InfinitI, then it would be easier to negotiate a higher trade-in on my 04.

i got jacked on my trade in when I did VPP.

make sure you try a few dealerships and compare or sell your old car yourself.

yes, the dealer gets a kickback from infiniti, and the vehicle is replaced. it's a win/win deal for you and the dealership because you get a good deal, and they make a little money, while losing no inventory.

I just bought my 6MT Coupe 2 wks ago using VPP and traded in my old car. They do get a kickback. I had to sign some paper from infiniti basically saying I would pay back what Infiiniti pays the dealer if they found out I wasn't really eligible for VPP. If they didn't get something back they wouldn't have made much money if any on my deal. They offered me a lot more than my trade in was worth. They gave me about $1000 more for my trade in than I was being offered last year at this time when I was looking to buy a car. During that year I probably put an additional 17k on the car.

Thanks for the info. I had a feeling there was a subsidy involved.
