Talking New Owner of ATI w/ FMIC

Just spoke with a fellow 350z owner and he's going TT. So in my favor he's giving me a great deal on these lovely items for $3000

ATI Procharger w/ FMIC
New SC Belts
7-9 PSI Pulleys
Stillen Stainless Steel Headers
Greddy E Manage
RC 440 Injectors
AEM Wideband

I was supposed to wait until after wedding to go FI, but this came along and I could not turn it down!

Make sure you post how the install goes, and how you feel about the results. I'm thinking that either a Stillen, Vortech, or ATI is somewhere down the line for me.

that's a really great deal on that setup. but, there have been problems with the earlier versions of the ATI with the shaft warping. if that happens, no more turny turny. you may want to ask about that. i know when this happened, ATI replaced the shafts, but it would happened again and again. don't know if they found a resolution to this yet or not.

The key to the ATI kit is competent and conservative installation and tuning. I would not recommend going above the 7lb pulley on stock internals. I have 20,000 trouble free miles on my kit, including ten track days on road courses, so if you pay attention and do not get greedy about wanting too much horsepower on your unmodified motor, and you maintain it properly, it is excellent. The headers are a pain to install and gather marginal additional horsepower....but they sound fantastic. Your call on that one as to whether the cost of the installation is worth it.
You will be putting about 120hp more into that car, so brace yourself, you will notice the difference!

Thanks for the info guys! I really appreciate it. The good thing is that my fiance loves cars himself. He is curently building his own turbo set-up now as we speak - as well as the motor So he will make sure that everything is right on my car too! As far as tuning goes there are some shops in ATL I have heard that do a great job on ATI installs. The warping is an issue i know, but for the boost factor - 7 psi is plenty for me! I will keep you guys posted on the installs, but I do want to make sure the motor is properly built and can handle the power I am about to put into it!

Thanks again guys!

Great deal! I'm not looking to go FI anytime soon due since I paid off the G already but for 3k I'd seriously consider it.

Good luck and have fun with the project.

Sorry to but in on this post, but I have a similar situation with the ATI for about $4,000 installed. It has like 100 miles on it. Is this a good deal? Is there any other mods I should do right away? I have an 03 5AT.
Thanks
