Today was my first drive to work in my new G35...makes the commute more tolerable. I live in the LA area and my come is about 20 miles takes between 30 mins to 1 hour each way...got to love that LA traffic

I find myself trying to be too careful, making sure no one is going to slam into me, I guess this is normal or just paranoia.

Also, at my work parking lot I am afraid it will get dinged eventually, people are just so careless...I have never dinged a car because I am always careful, I don’t want to dent their car or mine! I wish people would just be more careful, oh well, it is going to suck when I get my first ding but it will happen

Small tip about parking at work, almost nobody carpools, so try to park so your passenger side door is close to their passenger side door (and hope they don't have sombody hitching a ride lol). Or just park near other nice cars.
At my work most of my friends have nice cars, so we "banded together" and all park next to each other (knowing that none of us wants our cars dinged)

If you live reasonably near a MetroLink station, take a look at that as an alternative to driving. Used it from day one - Chatsworth to downtown until I left in 2001. Beats driving any day.
