Yes, that included return shipping, but I think it cost me about $45 to get everything shipped there.

tip, you can take the snail off the blower by taking off about 6 hex-head bolts and will cut the shipping weight in half.

Since my link is broken in my sig, here is a low res pic of the front of the car. No evidence of an intercooler can be seen unless you are on your knees peering into the lower grille.

So how loud is the supercharger assembly itself once installed? I had a full-blown catless WRX, and I'm kinda tired of loud cars. If I keep everything else stock, would the Vortech blower make my ears sore under normal driving conditions?

If I were you I'd be concerned about your lack of intercooler air flow. That stock bumper is covering more than half of the intercooler. I saw a G35 with a vortec at Stillen Z/G days with the same set up. His intercooler wasn't black so you could see how much was exposed to the outside air flow. You could just make out the end tanks and some of the core on either side of the end tanks. Airflow to the endtanks is pointless. The air needs to get to the core. I would think you'd have a much cooler charge temp if you were to open up the front or get a new bumper cover. Not diss'n on your set-up...looks great....but that intercooler needs some air flow.

Yes the airflow is a big concern and thats why I have a real conservative tune. Most guys are up in the 380hp plus with a cooler charge.

The Top Secret bumper is on my list, but I'm having a hard time letting go of the stock look.

I raced a SVT Lightning truck a few weeks back and the look on his face after I won was just about worth the price of the supercharger.

I'll keep you guys posted.

tein, sorry, didn't mean to hi-jack you thread. I was just excited to see another votech member coming aboard.

It's not annoying at all at normal speeds. With the right exhaust and cats it will get some major attention at wide open throttle. The most annoying thing to me is in a drive thru. You can really hear the whine bouncing off the building.

Traction is a major issue. You really have to re-learn how to drive the car all over again.

I just try to keep tabs on everything. Check the oil just about everytime before I go out (I drive it maybe once or twice a week).
Keep good tension on the main belt, it tends to stretch.
Changed the oil at 2500 (3months on syn.)
Took the air filter off last week and cleaned and re oiled it. Your best bet is taking the air filter off through the fender well.
I'm thinking about 5000k on the plugs (3500k so far w/one step colder) somebody else with more miles may know.

I will be going back to the dyno real soon since the weather has warmed up. Last tune was October.
