3600/Year in Florida, even though I live in NJ and pull the out of state scam bc my parents live there. If i was to get insurance in NJ it would cost me 8500/year!

Hey, I kinda want to resurrect this thread as people go out and start picking up '05's or ordering '06's. I was wanting to guage what company offerred the best rate quote for you as you shopped around. Rates are gonna vary from situation to situation, so absolute numbers are not helpful. Just trying to get a gauge of what few companies I should get a true quote from (by that, i mean opening a credit inquiry and getting a final quote).

Since I have my '06 on order, I looked into insurance for Houston,TX. For $500 deductible and full coverage, the price was around $140-150 per month for places like Allstate and Progressive - this is for a clean record and no other special discounts other than safe driver and car security/safety features. For some reason Geico is only around $90-100 a month, makes me wonder why there is such a huge difference. Is it worth paying the extra $40 a month to go with Allstate?
